American Music Therapy Association: The mission of AMTA is to advance public awareness of the benefits of music therapy and increase access to quality music therapy services in a rapidly changing world.

Certification Board for Music Therapist (CBMT): CBMT is the only organization to certify music therapists to practice music therapy nationally. It has been fully accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) since 1986. Over 4,900 music therapists currently maintain the MT-BC credential, and participate in a program of recertification designed to measure or enhance competence in the profession of music therapy.

Community Living Assistance and Support Services (CLASS): CLASS provides home- and community-based services to people with related conditions as a cost-effective alternative to placement in an intermediate care facility for persons with mental retardation or a related condition (ICF-MR/RC). A related condition is a disability, other than mental retardation, that originated before age 22 and that affects the ability to function in daily life.
